Who Can Apply
Community-based groups directly affected by mining, logging, large-scale agriculture, or infrastructure development.
Civil society organisations (formally registered, working on issues beyond their own community).
Professional or production organisations such as cooperatives, unions, and artisanal associations.
Networks: coalitions of organisations with a common cause.
Movements: formal and informal organisations working toward shared environmental and climate justice goals.
Priority given to organisations with limited or no previous access to donor funding.
Both formal and informal groups are eligible, registration is not required.
Must be active in one of the five pilot countries: Cameroon, CAR, DRC, Gabon, or Republic of Congo.

Application Process
Country Advisory Committee (CAC) or Thematic Network publishes a call for proposals or identifies eligible groups through its networks.
Interested group submits a brief Expression of Interest or project proposal in French or English.
CAC or Thematic Network reviews and recommends selected proposals to the Fund Secretariat.
Fund Secretariat conducts due diligence and finalises selection.
Grant agreement is signed and funds are disbursed with minimal bureaucracy.
Grantee implements the project and submits progress and final reports.
Capacity-building support provided throughout the grant period as needed.
